题目一:
Part I  Translation (40%)
Directions: Translate the following sentences into Chinese.
1. With a view to developing foreign trade, this company will devote itself to commercial intercourse with the trade and financial circles of various countries and districts.
2. We welcome inquires and discussions about all aspects of trade development and business cooperation.

Part II  Writing (60%)
Write a notice based on the following information.
The Sales Department of your company will be moved to 15F, West Building. The operation will start from May 15, 2017. The email address and post address remain the same. Write a notice to your clients in the name of the manager of Sales Department, Wang Wei.
Requirements:
1) Your notice should cover date and subject in right form.
2) Some information is suggested to be added, such as expectation of further cooperation and so on.
3) You should write no less than 200 words.

Part I  Translation (40%)
Directions: Translate the following sentences into Chinese.
1. We are a manufacturer in the trade of leather products and are desirous to establish business relations with the most reputable firms in your country.
2. There is a steady demand here for gloves of high quality at moderate prices.

Part II  Writing (60%)
Write a business letter based on the following information.
Your company is EF Company, one of the largest producers of electric fans in Taiwan. You have learned from a magazine called Global Trade that FE Company in Australia is engaged in sales of electric fans. Your company wants to establish business relations with it. Write a letter to FE Company, send them your catalogs and ask them if they have interest.

Requirements:
1) Your letter should contain company name, date, subject, opening, body, closing, etc. in right format.
2) Some information is suggested to be added, such as your company’s reputation and so on.
2) The letter should be no less than 200 words.

题目三:
Part I  Translation (40%)
Directions: Translate the following sentences into Chinese.
1. Mei Yu made a proposal that the decision of candidates’ number would be done according to the number of the applicants.
2. They all agreed that the next meeting will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 25, 2017, in the Conference Room.

Part II  Writing (60%)
Write a minute of a meeting based on the following information.
Write a minute of the meeting of the stockholders that you have just attended. The following points should be covered:
1) The discussion of the number of the next year’s board.
2) The discussion of the number of the list of candidates.
3) The discussion of selection procedure.

Requirements:
1) Your minute should cover opening, body as well as check and sign, such as meeting date, venue, chairperson, attendees and note taker, etc.
2) Key outcomes from the meeting should be listed, such as decisions made, actions agreed and open issues.
3) You should base your minute on the outline and write at least 200 words.
题目四:

Directions: Translate the following sentences into Chinese.
1. As a self-motivated student, I have spared no effects to equip myself with professional knowledge and practical skills.

Part II  Writing (60%)
Write a personal statement based on the following information.
You are Wang Wei, a student majoring in Economics at Dalian University of Technology. Write a personal statement to apply for a postgraduate program at Harvard University in the United States. The following points should be covered:
1) Self-introduction
2) Your study experiences and internships
3) The accomplishments or skills that set you apart from other applicants
4) Your career goals

Requirements:
1) Provide evidence to support your thesis.
2) Make it succinct, objective, informative and professional in tone.
3) You should base your writing on the outline and write at least 200 words.

题目五:
Part I  Translation (40%)
Directions: Translate the following sentences into Chinese.
1. Summarize your education, including important facts (degree type, specific courses studied) that are applicable to the job you are applying for.
2. Resumes are usually organized in two ways: reverse chronological order which is the traditional organizational format, and functional order which emphasizes functions such as core competence and transferable skills.

Part II  Writing (60%)
Write a resume based on the following information.
Suppose you are Wang Wei, a student majoring in Economics at Dalian University of Technology. You are going to graduate this year. Write a resume to apply for the position of salesperson in EF Company.

Requirements:
1) Begin your resume by writing personal data at the top.
2) Some information is suggested to be added, such as your educational background and so on.
3) Your resume should be no longer than one page but at least 200 words.
